North Scottsdale Dining Experience The Americano Debuts New Menu

Just over a month after Peter McQuaid stepped into the role of executive chef, The Americano has launched an exciting new menu. Collaborating with celebrity chef Beau MacMillan, McQuaid has crafted a selection highlighting the restaurant’s distinctiveness, featuring prime steaks, house-made pasta, and Mediterranean seafood – all tailored for the north Scottsdale hotspot.

“Our primary goal was to keep the heart and soul of The Americano while elevating the culinary creativity,” MacMillan said. “We’re introducing new dishes while remaining true to the restaurant’s identity and what’s made it such a beloved spot. I’ve been enamored with this place for years, and this evolution needed to honor guests by continuing to offer a sense of familiarity with new, bold flavors.”

Crafted with Italian flair in mind, the dishes will be served in a trendy and sophisticated atmosphere. Guests can indulge in a front-row seat to the open kitchen and wood-fired grill.

Restaurant-goers can revel in a new immersive experience with tableside mozzarella, an appetizer made of hand-stretched mozzarella, heirloom tomato, basil, balsamic glaze, and sea salt. Other launching starters include house-made focaccia, Terra Farms heritage wagyu beef carpaccio, roasted bone marrow, fire-roasted or Island Creek oysters, and the sumptuous “The Only” Oscietra Caviar, with caramelized onion dip and house-made potato chips.

Lobster Risotto

Guests can also choose from a delectable selection of new entrees and house-made pasta dishes. MacMillan and McQuaid said these dishes are sophisticated, made with refined techniques, and have bold flavors that stay true to Americano ways.

New entrees include Chilean seabass, volcano pork shank, smoked eggplant Milanese, spaghetti alla nerano, bucatini al Pomodoro, tagliatelle wagyu Bolognese and king crab cavatelli. Final additions to the menu include sides like hand-cut fries, truffle mac and cheese, mushrooms, potato puree, and broccolini.

MacMillan’s culinary vision shares the spotlight with an inventive cocktail program that is intricately devised, setting the bar for luxurious libations in the city. For the wine connoisseurs, The Americano features a curated selection of 300 distinct wines from iconic, established, and emerging Italian and American labels. The modern supper club-style dining room, with intimate crescent-shaped booths, rich leather chairs and butcher-block tables, offers a nightly display of culinary craftsmanship.
