Popular restaurant concept The Bar announced its plans to expand to Uptown Phoenix with a new location that features an energetic and playful vibe hoping to conjure up late-90s to early-2000s nostalgia for its guests. Like the original location in Arcadia, The Bar Uptown plans to bring outstanding food, ice-cold drinks, games, entertainment, and a loaded event schedule to the area upon its opening in February.
“Due to the success and popularity of The Bar Arcadia, we wanted to bring something similar yet uniquely its own to our diners in Uptown Phoenix,” Owner Frank Vairo said. “We are excited to present the neighborhood with a place to eat, drink, play, interact and have a really great time in a welcoming and inviting venue.”
The Bar Uptown features 2,800 square feet of space filled with vibrant artistic murals and endless CDs. Inside the main dining room, guests will find a bar, ample seating, dartboards and a pool table. Entertainment will include DJs spinning tunes on the weekends, dart and pool tournaments, karaoke, bingo and trivia nights and more.
A few carry overs from the Arcadia location include Dollar Wing Night. The menu offers scrumptious sharables like potato skins and Wisconsin cheese curds, salads and an array of tempting handhelds and burgers. The Smashburger – only available at the Uptown location – will be the star of the show.
Guests can enjoy a full bar that includes signature house cocktails inspired by popular favorites from Arcadia and created by in-house mixologist Ella Perez. Happy Hour (Monday-Friday, 12-6 p.m.) specials include $2 off drafts, $2 off full-size appetizers, $7 Tito’s, $7 glasses of wine, $5 well drinks, $6 Four Roses, $7 “Jamos” and $7 house mules. The Bar Uptown will be open daily from noon to 2 a.m. For more, visit thebarphx.com.
