Attention, seafoodies! The founders of the beloved Steak 44 and Dominick’s Steakhouse restaurants are unveiling a highly-anticipated seafood concept in mid- to late-2018.
Ocean 44 will open in Scottsdale at the former Harkin’s Camelview space on Goldwater Blvd. in a completely new, free-standing building, across from the new luxury wing of Scottsdale Fashion Square. Design firm Testani Design Troupe has been hired to work on the space, which will have more than 12,000 square feet of unique dining spaces with many options.
According to Jeff Mastro via the press release, Ocean 44 will offer a vast seafood menu with the same intimacy, upscale feel and luxury service as its counterpart Steak 44, but with its very own unique coastal feel, a complete departure in environment and seafood options built on the same foundation of quality and luxury personal service. Many of the dishes will be served a la carte but with a compound effect, so there will be multiple flavors and sometimes different types of seafood on one plate.
“Think oysters with caviar, and the biggest shrimp you can find, roasted shellfish appetizers and fresh fish with delicious flavor profiles,” says Mastro in the press release. “We are traveling the world to find seafood at an ultra-grade.”
Ocean 44 will also feature the great steaks served at its sister restaurant, Steak 44.
