Local breakfast chain Over Easy is springing into the season with a brand-new menu of seasonal items and the return of its fifth annual ‘Dollars for a Dozen’ fundraiser throughout April. This initiative has become a tradition that supports local families in need and raises vital funds for Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
When dining at any of the 17 Over Easy locations in Arizona, guests can donate $1 or more to PCH, which Over Easy will match dollar for dollar. In addition, every dollar raised will contribute a dozen eggs that will be delivered to the United Food Bank by Hickman’s Family Farms and Shamrock Farms.
“It’s a privilege to partner with two incredible local organizations for our fifth annual fundraiser,” Co-Owner Ryan Field said. “We’re honored to support Phoenix Children’s and the United Food Bank, both of which are making a real and lasting impact on the lives of Arizona families.”
Since 2020, the annual fundraiser has raised $65,272 through the Dollars for a Dozen initiative. Guests can support the cause by purchasing an item from the new seasonal menu for dine-in, takeout, or delivery.
Standout seasonal dishes include crab and asparagus frittata made with three eggs, asparagus spears, lump crab meat, melted gruyère, and garlic finished with chives, hollandaise, and fresh lemon zest; chocolate banana bread French toast, which is a delicious banana bread dipped in French toast batter and topped with chocolate chips, bananas, whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate ganache; and the Bunny Mary, a cocktail made with organic carrot juice, vodka, raw carrots, celery and tajin.
