This summer, the incredible Peter DeRuvo, the chef at Scottsdale’s Sassi restaurant, had the distinctive honor of showing off his culinary skills at the James Beard House in New York City’s Greenwich Village. If the honor of cooking at the House wasn’t enough, Chef DeRuvo actually received a standing ovation from guests and members of the James Beard Foundation. (If you recall, Arizona chefs have made quite the presence at the James Beard House lately; Quiessence Chef Greg LaPrad cooked there this summer as well.)
