Ricemill, a fast-casual restaurant serving Asian-inspired rice bowls, announced the grand opening of its newest location in downtown Phoenix on March 22. The eatery is welcoming the community to come out and experience its culinary offerings.
The concept is the brainchild of Harry Yu, co-founder of Ricemill and Miss Dessert, who has notably impacted Phoenix’s culinary scene. Known for his passion for bold flavors and innovative dining experiences, Yu is excited to bring his vision to life.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring the first Ricemill to downtown Phoenix,” Yu shared. “The city is full of energy and culinary innovation, making it the perfect place for us to introduce our unique flavors. We look forward to joining this vibrant community and sharing our passion for exceptional cuisine.”
At the heart of Ricemill’s success is its menu, created by Chef Yiyi Wang, who co-founded the restaurant and brings experience from Michelin-starred kitchens such as Manresa and Jean-Georges.
Signature rice bowls include the Seoul Garlic Chicken and the Shanghai-style steak. Guests can customize their meals with a variety of bases, proteins, toppings, and sauces. Sides like shrimp crisps, handcrafted milk teas, and desserts, including chocolate, vanilla, and Thai tea rice pudding, are also available.
The grand opening event will take place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and promises fun and festivities. Guests will be treated to live DJ music, a special appearance from the Phoenix Suns dancers, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring City of Phoenix officials at 11:30 a.m.
Ricemill will also offer a series of exclusive promotions, including daily “Sup-rice” deals, free rice bowls for the first 100 customers, and special giveaways, such as Labubu Blind Boxes for the first person in line and Ricemill gifts for the first five guests. Throughout the opening week, customers can enjoy discounts, BOGO deals and complimentary desserts by purchasing a rice bowl.
As a bonus, customers who purchase between March 22 and March 28 will be entered to win a year of free rice bowls; one bowl per month for the next 12 months. Stay up to date and learn more at eatricemill.com.
