The Valley should gear up to taste James Beard Award-winning chef Robert McGrath’s signature western cuisine once again as he opens a socially-focused neighborhood restaurant in DC Ranch, Market Street Kitchen. (The star chef was formerly in the kitchens of Roaring Fork, Renegade Canteen and Spotted Donkey Cantina.) The restaurant is set to open Sept. 1.
The soon-to-open Market Street Kitchen will offer rustic, American fare with a focus on wood-fired cooking techniques. The menu will focus on a selection of creative small-bites appetizers, pastas, hearty soups, creative salads, a signature burger, fresh seafood and wood-grilled vegetables. Market Street Kitchen will even feature a wood-fired rotisserie prominently on display, which will be used to roast poultry, pork loin, prime rib and lamb, as well a staffed charcuterie and fromage station will provide expert recommendations and offer an array of selection of terrines, cured meats, salumis and artisan cheeses.
The beverage lineup at Market Street Kitchen will highlight classic cocktails as well as several local craft beers, a 100-bottle wine list and 30 wines by the glass. Market Street Kitchen will even boast a Barrel-to-Tap wine system featuring wines produced exclusively for Market Street Kitchen by vineyard partners.
Market Street Kitchen will also be a looker as it will utilize rustic materials in a modern way and feature photographic artwork of the original DC Ranch. Alfresco dining–with a firepit–will also be available. The talented team at PHX Architecture is heading up the design of Market Street Kitchen. http://www.facebook.com/MarketStreetKitchen.
