Through August 16, Valley Z’Tejas locations will dish out divine new dishes via its new summer menu. Take a look:
Habanero Chicken Pasta: Tender chicken breast served over a bed of angel hair pasta with baby spinach, sun-dried tomatoes and capers sautéed in a light habanero-citrus wine sauce
Cherry-Chipotle Glazed Flank Steak: Sweet and spicy grilled flank steak served with creamy avocado corn, seasonal rice, borracho beans and flour tortillas
Seared Ahi Tuna Salad: Blackened ahi tuna seared rare, drizzled with avocado wasabi aioli and crispy capers, served with summer vine-ripened tomatoes and a cucumber crown of spring mixed greens finished with an ancho balsamic vinaigrette
Creole Blackened Cod: Cod blackened on a cast-iron skillet, over seasonal rice and finished with a Creole crawfish butter sauce served with creamy avocado corn
Feeling Berry Lucky: 1800 Reposado Tequila, Cruzan Strawberry Rum, lime juice, naturally sweetened with agave nectar and a blend of strawberries, raspberries and blackberries
My Summer Crush: 1800 Reposado Tequila, Contreau, Domaine de Canton, lime juice, naturally sweetened with fresh watermelon and rimmed with black sea salt
Charles & Charles Rosé: This refreshing blend of Syrah (81%) Mourvedre (16%) Cinsault (2%) and Grenache (1%) pops with aromas of wild strawberry, rose, cherry, subtle hibiscus and a touch of citrus, with underlying notes of dried herbs and minerals
S’mores Cake and Root Beer Float: A twist on a summer classic. Marshmallow, chocolate and graham cracker cake served with a root beer float made with vanilla ice cream and IBC Root Beer
We had the chance to try out the delicious new summer menu. The Creole Blackened Cod offers just a touch of delicious spice, and the butter sauce certainly isn’t stingy with the crawfish. This dish is a seafood lover’s dream. Plus, accompanying the dish, is a glass layered with creamy avocado and sweet corn–the perfect summery side. To end the meal on a high note, the s’mores cake and root beer float combines two time-honored classic desserts in one delectable presentation. Definitely a hit for kids and grownups, alike. www.ztejas.com.
