Blue Hound Kitchen & Cocktails at Hotel Palomar Phoenix has rolled out a new winter dinner menu created by newly appointed Executive Chef Sean Currid, who joined the restaurant in September. You’ll see some old favorites (charred pork belly sliders, Hickman’s Farm deviled eggs, short ribs) still on the menu along with Chef Currid’s newest additions (pictured, kale salad).
Local salt company, go lb. salt, has collaborated with the newly opened Welcome Chicken + Donuts on one of their unique creations. The Cajeta Mesquite Donut is topped with go lb. salt’s “mesquite salt” and is available for purchase now at Welcome Chicken + Donuts for $2.30.
Luci’s Healthy Marketplace in Phoenix is kicking it up a notch with the debut of their candy cane pancakes. This seasonal dish will be available from Dec. 1 through the 25th.

Swing by on Tuesdays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. to tackle Trivia Night, or show off your skills at Open Mic Night every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Bust out your board and stamp pad every Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for a rollicking game of Music Bingo, or enjoy live music and DJs every Friday night from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and all day Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Arizona Friends of Foster Care Children (AFFCF) is hosting their annual “AFFCF Foster Care Foodie Faire” on Sunday, Nov. 23 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Kierland Commons in Scottsdale. The Foodie Faire is a gourmet picnic on wheels featuring the finest in food truck cuisine along with children’s activities, live entertainment and a silent auction. Guests will choose items from nine gourmet food trucks and a dessert truck. Food trucks include: Sweet Magnolia Smokehouse, Emerson Fry Bread, Mama Toledo’s Pie Truck, One Eighty Q, Aji Mobile Foods, Buzz-n-Beez Good Food, Paletas Betty, The Roasted Shallot, Chef Wade’s Bistro on Wheels and Grilled Addiction. Tickets are $35 that includes four food tickets and two drink tickets. Additional food tickets can be purchased at the event for $8 each and drink tickets are $2 each. Click here for tickets.
