During the week of Aug. 17 through Aug. 24, customers can visit the Miracle Mile Deli Facebook page to vote for their favorite sandwich out of the Deli’s top three sellers: The Straw, The New Yorker or The Brisket of Beef. The winning sandwich will be named “Special Sandwich of The Week,” and a percentage of the proceeds from each sandwich sold the following week (Aug. 24 -through Aug. 30) will benefit Feeding Matters.
Starting at only $100, the Sandbar Mexican Grill Fantasy Football Package includes a private cabana for you and your friends, including finger foods, two pitchers of beer (bottle service also available), and a personal draft board featuring magnetic nameplates to keep track of each pick. To celebrate Arizona wines, on Aug. 14 and 15, Whole Foods Market stores in Chandler and Tucson will host an Arizona Wine Awards event for the sixth year in a row. The event will feature 15 local wineries and 30 wines. Customers can taste local wines and vote for their favorite. Garrison Brothers Distillery of Texas (pictured) will host a three-course whiskey dinner on Thursday, August 20, at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain’s jade bar. The exclusive event begins at 6:30 p.m. and is priced at $89, plus tax and gratuity. Guests will dine on Texas-inspired, seasonal fare prepared by renowned Chef Beau MacMillan. Each innovative dish will be chef-paired with premium spring and fall bourbon vintages, as well as a specially prepared signature bourbon cocktail. Thursday, Aug. 20, is National Lemonade Day. Luci’s Healthy Marketplace in Phoenix wants to celebrate by opening a lemonade stand inside their venue that day. Tempe-based business, Sun Orchard Juicery, is donating the lemonade for the stand which will be open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. that day. Donations of any size will be collected by Lucia’s children and are encouraged in exchange for the lemonade. One-hundred percent of the proceeds will go to local school, New Way Academy, which has established itself as Arizona’s premier K-12 independent day school catering to children with learning differences such as dyslexia, ADHD and executive functioning difficulties.
Friday, August 14, is National Creamsicle Day. To celebrate, TEXAZ Grill will be offering their Orange Grove cocktail, a twist on this dessert favorite, for just $5 all day long.
Chef Josh Hebert from POSH Improvisational Cuisine is taking over the El Chorro kitchen for Ramen Night on Wednesday, August 19.
