Save the date: Saturday, October 25 at 6:00 p.m. marks the 2014 Notre Dame Preparatory Culinary Festival. The culinary event will be on on the NDP campus at 9701 E. Bell Road in Scottsdale. Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort, Pure Sushi and Dining and The Capital Grille are all slated to take part, with other restaurants to be announced. $100 per ticket.

Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza has launched a new campaign to benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital (PCH). The 40 Papa Murphy’s locations in greater Phoenix and northern Arizona will donate $1 to PCH from every Mini Murph Make ‘N’ Bake Pizza Kit sold now through Sept. 15.
El Palacio of Chandler wraps its southwestern summer beer dinner series on Wednesday, August 13 with a four-course menu packed with Mexican-Italian fused flavors. This summer series finale will feature beer from the Grand Canyon Brewing Company. The dinner is 7 p.m., reservations are required and can be made by calling 480.802.5770. The dinner cost is $25 plus tax and gratuity per person.
Phoenix-based Windsor’s Summer of Brew continues August 13 with a four-course beer-paired dinner with Sierra Nevada Brewing Company for $50 per person. Federal’s LTD (Local Tap Development) Series kicks off August 20 with Tucson’s Dragoon Brewing Company collaborating with Federal on a four-course family-style feast. The series continues through the fall.
Proof, an American Canteen, at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North launches of “Fried Chicken Fridays” every Friday night. For $28, Proof diners can enjoy a large helping of fried chicken, Cajun fries, coleslaw and accompanying sauces. For $10 more, receive a second helping of fried chicken. Come in Saturday or Sunday evening for “Weekend Roast” and savor a homemade roast freshly prepared in classic, comfort-food fashion. Also this summer, Proof is offering daily “Buy One, Get One Free” ice cream socials from 3 to 5:30 p.m. The restaurant features live music every weekend, and features the “Blues, Brews & BBQ” every other Friday night through the end of August. Proof also offers daily happy hour, with $2 off beers on tap and appetizers.
