Following months of anticipation, The Mexicano has officially announced its grand reopening celebration after an extended closure due to a kitchen fire last fall. On January 31, guests will be welcomed back to the Valley eatery, complete with a fresh new look, an exciting new menu, enhanced activations, daily happy hour specials, and the return of energetic live entertainment.
“We are so thankful for the incredible reception and support we received the first time around and are beyond excited for what’s to come with The Mexicano 2.0,” Chef Joey Maggiore said.
Created to draw guests into a vibrant atmosphere that combines sophistication with the lively spirit of Mexican culture, the Mexicano 2.0 was designed by the creative eye of Chef Joey’s wife, Cristina, and features an open, airy ambiance that combines a mix of immersive greenery, sleek furnishings and a covered patio for al fresco dining.
The reimagined space will include both classic experiences, such as the famous build-your-own margarita bar, as well as new interactive activations to wow diners, including a tortilla-making station that will bring an authentic touch to the atmosphere.
“This second round will match the energy of the original but with an elevated, vibrant, and sexy new décor. Plus, the immersive experience we’ve been working on will take it to the next level,” Maggiore said. “The greenery and flowers come to life for the most spectacular experience for our guests.”
Guests can expect the same chef-driven menu of authentic Mexican cuisine infused with Instagram-famous modern twists like the guacamole and salsa ferris wheel alongside a new menu of show-stopping dishes.
Highlights include the best f#%ng fried quesadilla taco, pork osso bucco, molcajete, and chorizo stuffed zucchini blossoms, as well as a revamped cocktail menu expertly crafted by Jason Asher, a world-renowned mixologist from Phoenix.
The first 100 guests to attend the grand reopening celebration at 3 p.m. on January 31 will receive a $30 gift card. Additionally, anyone who dines during the opening weekend can attend the exclusive VIP pre-party for Chandler’s The Mexicano location, which is slated to open in early 2025 at Chandler Fashion Center.
