Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill debuted its highly anticipated rooftop patio and bar at its newest and largest location in the Valley at the Westgate Entertainment District. This marks the brand’s first two-story restaurant in Glendale, offering a unique dining experience with food, drinks, and an exceptional atmosphere.
Spanning 3,983 square feet, the rooftop patio is an expansive, covered, open-air space. Guests can enjoy indoor and outdoor seating with a fully equipped bar and dining area.
“This marks a significant milestone for Thirsty Lion as our first two-story location, and we’re thrilled to bring this dynamic design to the West Valley. We’re just steps away from the Desert Diamond Arena and State Farm Stadium, venues that host major events like the Super Bowl, Fiesta Bowls, and the Men’s NCAA Final Four Tournament in March 2025,” CEO John Plew said. “The response from the community has been incredible, and we can’t wait to welcome guests to our rooftop for everything from celebrations to corporate gatherings.”
The two-story restaurant offers a spacious environment with seating for up to 515 people. The layout includes multiple granite bars, each equipped with large flat-screen televisions to ensure guests don’t miss a moment of the action during local games or events. Hardwood communal tables create a welcoming atmosphere for friends to gather.
Thirsty Lion’s menu showcases a variety of scratch-made dishes crafted using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Signature items include the gorgonzola-infused gastropub burger, the spicy fried chicken sandwich with jalapeno and buttermilk marinade, and the multi-cultural gochujang BBQ pork and kimchi fried rice. The ahi poke bowl salad and Tuscan Romano chicken offer fresh, flavorful options for those seeking lighter fare.
The bar is a focal point of the space, offering a selection of craft cocktails and beers. Guests can enjoy creative drinks like the blood orange mezcal margarita, añejo old fashioned, cucumber rosemary gin & tonic, and Lion Lemonade, all crafted with hand-squeezed juices and premium liquors. The bar also features more than 20 beers on tap, many local to the Valley.
