Tommy Bahama, the iconic island-lifestyle brand, is set to launch its latest book, The Marlin Bar: Cocktails with Tommy Bahama. The book will feature some of the most signature Tommy Bahama drinks and appetizers that bring the relaxed coastal vibe and flavors into your home.
With more than 90 easy-to-follow recipes, an abundance of colorful photos and a list of tools, tips, and techniques, this book will help anyone up the ante when serving themselves or guests.
The Marlin Bar: Cocktails with Tommy Bahama will arrive online at www.tommybahama.com and in Tommy Bahama stores on May 28; it will sell for $40.
The title pays homage to the Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar — the brand’s new dining concept that offers an experience that is lively and casual — like a cocktail party at your best friend’s house, with recipes that celebrate an authentic relaxed lifestyle. The key to the cocktail concoctions is premium spirits, fresh fruits and juices, herbs, and the proper garnish to add the perfect island twist.
From the tropical flavors of Mai Tais, Mojitos, and spicy Margaritas to a new school spin on classic Martinis, Manhattans and Gimlets, there is something for everyone. No Tommy Bahama cocktail book would be complete without a chapter on rum drinks such as the “Pina Colada,” “Bahama Mama,” “Coconut Cloud” and “Daiquiri,” among others.
And if you want it zero-proof, there are the “Faux-jito” and “Island Tea” that look festive and taste delicious. There is even a chapter on beer and wine, a spirits guide, and pairing suggestions for appetizers.
Since no one should drink on an empty stomach, The Marlin Bar: Cocktails with Tommy Bahama will also include over 20 tasty appetizer recipes. Easy to prepare dips to include “Maui Sweet Onion, Bacon & Chive,” “Dungeness Crab” and “Guacamole with Fire Roasted Pepper Salsa.”
For more hearty cocktail party fare, sliders are fun and filling — create a trio of sliders with the “Nashville Hot Chicken Sliders,” “Pork Sliders with White Peach BBQ Sauce” and “Filet Sliders” with a sweet and spicy pineapple marinade. “Crispy Brussels Sprouts” and “Mushroom Flatbreads” offer up some vegan and vegetarian options, as well.
The Marlin Bar: Cocktails with Tommy Bahama will follow a popular series of Cooking with Tommy Bahama cookbooks that include: Flavors of Aloha, Flavors of the Southern Coast and Flavors of California. Published by Chronicle Books, The Marlin Bar: Cocktails with Tommy Bahama makes it easy to celebrate any occasion that life brings your way.
