During October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, two Valley sushi restaurants are raising funds for the breast cancer cause.
Through the entire month of October, Scottsdale’s Roka Akor restuarant will dish up a special Think Pink drink menu. Roka Akor will offer three pink specialty cocktails designed by local mixologists; the cocktails will be the Pink Pomegranate Shochu, the Pink Ribbon, and the Beat It. In addition to the cocktails, Roka Akor has teamed up with the luxe Champagne House of Laurent-Perrier and will pour Cuvée Rosé Brut made from 100 percent pinot noir for $20 per glass or $80 per bottle. For each glass sold, Roka Akor will make a contribution to the American Cancer Society. As an added incentive, guests may keep the signature Champagne flute in which their wine is served. A bottle purchase will result in a $20 donation to the American Cancer Society and will be served with four flutes. The Scottsdale hot spot is also hosting nightly silent auction will take place in the restaurant for Omakase for two. This special chef-created menu is one of the most popular experiences at Roka Akor, allowing the chef to create a one-of-a-kind multi-course dining experience. All proceeds from these auctions will benefit the American Cancer Society. Guests can also bid on the nightly Omakase dinners directly through the Roka Akor website. Bids can be made at http://www.rokaakor.com/.
Another local favorite, RA Sushi, is offering a wine and sushi special to benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation® (NBCF).
