Who’s up for a road trip this weekend? On March 10 and 11, wine lovers can celebrate Arizona’s oldest and original wine county — the American Viticultural Area Southeast Arizona Wine Growers Festival(AVA) — at the two-day, family-friendly seventh-annual Southeast Arizona Wine Growers Festival. The highly anticipated festival will be held at Kief-Joshua Vineyards in Elgin.
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day of the event, guests can sample varietals including new release tastings from 18 of Arizona’s top wineries and meet acclaimed winemakers. Guests can also enjoy eats from a variety of food from Las Vigas Steak Ranch and Russell Compton Texas BBQ, as well as check out vendors featuring art, jewelry, natural products, specialty foods and more. The weekend event is rounded out with tunes from four blues bands: Cat Daddy and the 12 Barz Blues, Black Cat Bones Blues Band, Angel Diamond Blues Band and The Usual Suspects Blues Band.
