This month, Trader Vic’s at Scottsdale-based Hotel Valley Ho is hosting a few can’t-miss dining events that are sure to make your springtime even more scrumptious. Here’s a look at what to expect, starting this Saturday.
Saturday, April 9: Benovia Wine Dinner Part of the Scottsdale Culinary Festival’s chef wine dinners, the event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a reception and hors d’oeuvres, followed by four courses created by Executive Chef Justin Pfeilsticker. Each will be carefully paired with a wine from Benovia Winery, which established itself in California’s Russian River Valley and Sonoma County in 2005. Tickets are $125 per person and can be purchased at http://www.scottsdaleculinaryfestival.org/ or 480.945.7193. Note that this is a 21-and-over event.
Sunday, April 17: Anchor Brewing Dinner This special event starts with a reception and hors d’oeuvres at 6 p.m. and continues with a seated four-course dinner, with each course carefully paired with a beverage from Anchor Brewing Co. Anchor established itself in San Francisco in 1896 and has been crafting great brews ever since. Executive Chef Justin Pfeilsticker and representatives from Anchor Brewing will be present to explain the cuisine and brews to diners. Reservations are recommended and can be made at 480.421.7799. The cost is $50 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
Wednesday, April 20: Raven’s Sip, Shop & Socialize Mixer Raven Events presents an evening of food, drink, socializing and shopping. From 6 to 9 p.m., attendees can browse a variety of jewelry, accessories and more, all from local businesses. At the mixer, $3 draft beers and $5 drink specials will be offered, including Pacific Rim Autumnus Red and White wines, Nino Franco Prosecco, Svedka Vodka drinks, Nimbus Blonde draught beer, and Kiltlifter draught beer. $5 appetizers will be featured as well–a Mezze Plate, Crispy Calamari, Char Siu Bao, Chinese-Oven-Roasted Maui Burger, Spicy Calcutta Curry Wings, and Island Seafood Fritters. There’ll also be live music from artist Myles David Lancette, known for his acoustic soul sound, as well as complimentary valet parking. http://www.hotelvalleyho.com/.
