In this week’s Grocery Great segment, guest writer ForXx reviews Lynnae’s Gourmet Pickles.
You may have seen them on TV as recently as last week. I’m talking about Lynnae Schneller and Aly Cullinane, the creators of Lynnae’s gourmet pickles out of Tacoma, Washington. Their segment re-aired last week and the day it aired I received my sample shipment. It was meant to be.
I received two jars; Hot Mama spears and the original recipe, Mrs. Pickles. Great Grandma Toots’ recipe is just the right amount of perfection. When you bite into these deliciously crunchy pickles you are instantly transported to great grandma’s kitchen. Chilled from the fridge, they would be perfect chopped over a juicy hot dog, diced in your tuna or tossed in your favorite potato salad. The Hot Mama spears are a unique blend of sweet and spicy. The visibly delicate slices of jalapeño add a nice kick to the sweetness.
Mrs. Pickles are every sweet pickle lovers’ dream. Lynnae’s are all-natural, gluten-free and the first to be available in both spears and chips. After reading the story and hearing about them on “Shark Tank,” I have a great deal of respect for these ambitious ladies fulfilling their dream and successfully launching themselves into the pickling business. Lynnae’s gourmet pickles are a little pricier than most and can be ordered online. Presently, they are not available in stores. http://lynnaesgourmetpickles.com/.
