With the debut of the “Quintessential Spring” cocktail menu, SaltRock Southwest Kitchen at Kimpton Amara Resort and Spa has added more than a dozen season-friendly cocktails to its delicious lineup. The cocktails are inspired by the herbs and veggies that are available at Sedona Farmer’s Market each Sunday.
One of the newest cocktails, the Heart Beet, is a take on the beloved gin and tonic cocktails featuring a sweet and desertlike beet flavor and bitter grapefruit. It is semi-dry, tangy and earthy with subtle sweetness and a peppery finish. See recipe below if you’d like to take on the Heart Beet at home.
Heart Beet
1 oz. raw beet syrup
.75 lemon
1.75 oz. aviation gin
.25 oz. grapefruit cordial, pamplemousse
topped with fever tree tonic
served in tall glass
