For Valentine’s Day, Valley restaurants are whipping up swoon-worthy sips–and here are a few of our favorites for you to create for your sweetheart at home.
Cupid’s Arrow/District American Kitchen and Wine Bar
½ oz. Strawberry Moonshine
1 oz. White Chocolate Simple Syrup
Gruet Blanc de Blanc Sparkling Wine
Layer moonshine and Champagne. Slowly add simple syrup, and garnish with white chocolate-drizzled strawberry.
All Together Lovely/Casablanca Lounge
2 oz. Hendricks Gin
3/4 oz. Elderflower liquor
1/2 oz. Fresh lime juice
1/2 oz. Simple syrup
Topped with half soda, half sprite over edible orchid and cucumber-infused ice cubes.
The Cupid Club/Crudo
2 oz. Nolet’s Gin
1/2 oz Rose tea*
3/4 oz Simple syrup
3/4 oz. Lemon juice
1 Egg white
4 Raspberries
Muddle raspberries in bottom of mixing tin and then combine the rest of the ingredients. Shake the mixture without ice for 10 seconds and then shake again with ice for six seconds. Double strain into cocktail glass and garnish with a rose petal of raspberries.
*Rose tea: any rose tea from the store should work here. Steep the tea a couple of minutes longer than the package tells you to reinforce the delicate tea flavor. Pull out the bags and let cool before using.
