Time to rejoice, Arizona beer drinkers! Tomorrow, the Valley introduces its first-ever Arizona Beer Week, from the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild. Through Feb. 26, Arizona Beer Week–a statewide celebration of craft beer that includes participants from Flagstaff, Sedona, Prescott, Tucson, Bisbee and more–includes tasty events that vary town to town; however, beer lovers can be sure that the events will include beer tastings, beer-pairing dinners at restaurants, beer seminars, METRO Light Rail pub crawls, home brewer confabs and more.
The frothy, foamy week starts off with the 11th Annual Arizona Strong Beer Festival, held at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix. Although strong beers (those with high alcohol content) are the focus at the festival, a huge variety of craft beers will also be available. Festival-goers will receive a commemorative four-ounce tasting glass and 15 tasting tickets for the price of admission. To keep you even more entertained, will be plenty of top-notch food vendors and live music at the Arizona Strong Beer Festival. A limited number of VIP tickets, available by advance sale only and priced at $40 per person, allow for early admission. Other Arizona Strong Beer Festival participants pay a general admission fee of $30 in advance, $40 at the gate.
