Whether your drink of choice is wine or beer, get your glass and designated driver ready for July 29 when Elgin hosts the 2017 Harvestfest at Sonoita Vineyards and, in the Valley, Real, Wild & Woody summer beer festival takes place.
Set for 2 to 6 p.m. on July 29 at the South Building of Phoenix Convention Center, the fourth-annual Real, Wild & Woody will celebrate local suds with more than 65 breweries pouring more than 350 craft brews. Event-goers will also be in for a a silent disco, live music from area acoustic acts and food samples from top local restaurants: HopDoddy Burger Bar (they will have a mini burger bar), Angry Crab and Pig + Pickle. New this year, participants can enjoy Real, Wild & Woody seminars throughout the festival.
Tickets to this 21-and-older event are $57 and include 20 tasting tickets along with unlimited food pairings. Designated Driver passes are available for $25 and include food pairings and non-alcoholic options.
For those who prefer reds and whites over stouts and lagers can enjoy the 2017 Harvestfest at Sonoita Vineyards in Elgin, also taking place on July 29. Pre-purchased tickets to the event are $25 or $30 at the door, and admission includes wine tasting with a souvenir glass,a souvenir giveaway to first 100 people, wine and food pairings, winery tours with the winemaker at 11 a.m. and 2:45 p.m., vineyard tours by wagon throughout the day, and grape stomping at 1 p.m. (must sign up when you arrive).
Guest may also choose the VIP Package, which is $85 per person (limited to 50 people). In addition to the general admission perks, VIPs can enjoy a private climate-controlled room and balcony, a VIP restroom, a private bar, special VIP souvenir giveaway, after-hours party 4 to 6 p.m., after-hours winery and vineyard tour, VIP parking and a lunch voucher.
