Award-winning Downtown Phoenix restaurant Anhelo is partnering with Château Ducru-Beaucaillou of France to host a 40 Years of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou Wine Dinner on November 17 at 6 p.m.
Led by Chef/Owner Ivan Jacobo, the 2022 Wine Spectator “Best of Award of Excellence” winner and OpenTable’s “Best Overall Restaurant in Phoenix” and “Best Notable Wine List” is flying in a top French wine producer from Château Ducru-Beaucaillou who will be showcasing exclusive wines paired with seven first-class culinary courses.
Guests will experience curated top Château vintages from the past four decades: 1986, 1995, 2000, 2015, 2016 and 2018 horizontal; totaling eight tremendous expressions all expertly paired with culinary creations from Chef Ivan. To complete this magical journey through time, guests will also learn about The Château’s 300-year history during the one-on-one experience alongside the legendary French wine producer.
Meaning “beautiful pebbles” in French, Château Ducru-Beaucaillou gets its name from its unique terroir of stones and pebbles deposited over 2 million years ago that help produce some of the most extraordinary wines that have been recognized by top wine critics all over the world.
The French winery’s past five vintages from 2015 through 2019 alone have scored a 98/100 rating year after year from wine critics, such as Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Jeb Dunnuck, Decanter and more.
Anhelo’s unique private event requires reservations to be made through OpenTable and costs $380 per person plus tax, service and gratuity. Other notable upcoming wine dinners include Napa Cult Wine Dinner on November 10 and Napa Valley Vine Hill Ranch on December 8.
