At 73-pounds, it is pretty astounding to think that adorable Croissant still has quite a ways to go on his recovery. After being rescued as an extremely emaciated stray more than a month ago, the handsome four-year-old Dogue de Bordeaux is in need of a Foster Hero home to help him continue gaining weight.
Croissant found his way to the Arizona Humane Society in mid-September after he was found wandering the streets of Phoenix looking for anything that could sustain his frail, underweight body. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan was able to get him to the shelter where he has been under a watchful feeding program and receiving lots of TLC on the road to getting to healthy again.
A gentle giant with a smile that makes everyone fall in love automatically, Croissant is in need of a quiet space for about a month where he can continue on his feeding schedule until cleared by AHS veterinarians to go into his forever home. Easily leashed, a lover of treats and a self-proclaimed lap dog, this wrinkly boy will fit right into any home that has a soft space for him to land on while healing.
Fostering is a lifesaving way to help the Arizona Humane Society make more space for additional sick, injured and abused pets in need of help. At no cost to those who foster, this is a wonderful opportunity to help animals in need without permanently adding a furry friend to your family.
