Baby on Board: Family Travel 101

rsz_1lotus_copy.jpgOnce upon a time not long ago, my husband and I could hop a plane to Vegas, stay up all night in the city, and relax beachside on vacation.  Once upon a time travel was easy: we had a pre-flight cocktail, a mimosa when checking into our hotel, and a nightcap drink.  And once upon a time, we slept in late, ordered room service, and napped throughout the day.  Gosh what I would do for a nap right now.

Q&A: Rising Country Artist JT Hodges

Coming off a packed house at CMA Fest in Nashville and a recently released album, Locks On Doors, country artist JT Hodges is belting his way to the top.

Following the release of his 2012 self-titled album, Hodges is changing up the sound of country for all fans. Adding in hints of rock, R&B and twang to the recent release, Hodges is beginning the next phase of his career.

We had a chance to catch up with the “Ray Bans” star in anticipation of his free show Saturday, June 27 at 8 p.m. at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino in Maricopa.

I'm Baaack...

The last time I wrote for Arizona Foothills Magazine was about four years ago. At the time, I was the morning show traffic anchor for a local Phoenix TV station, waking up at 2:30am for the early broadcast. I was also unmarried, but head-over-heels in love with my then boyfriend, going out every weekend, and living the life of a carefree Scottsdale socialite. My former Arizona Foothills Magazine column was full of everything lifestyle; reviewing lavish hotels, exceptional eateries, and writing about lust, love, fashion, and fun. 

Now, four years later, I'm back...but things have changed.

I still get up at 2:30am, but this time around, I'm awoken by a hungry baby. I'm still head-over-heels over that...
